Community Service

Sabrina has been active in the community since her youth. Engaged in her local, cultural, political, professional, and international communities; Sabrina has evolved to volunteer and donate expert contributions towards various governance and mentorship roles.

She is a founding member of A Touch of Love and Hope Foundation, http://www.atouchofloveandhope.com. In addition to nearly 50 years of marriage, in 2014, her parents founded this non-profit organization, based in the City of Vaughan. It raises funds for its beneficiaries working in the Greater Toronto Area and in the Commonwealth of Dominica. The organization has been blessed to have the support and contribution of the community’s citizens, businesses, media, and government representatives in the production of its community-based activities and fundraising initiatives. In addition, it has gained support from the Government of Canada for the production of a large-scale Multicultural Extravaganza Celebrating Canada’s 150th Anniversary of Confederation, and the Province of Ontario for a Seniors Health and Wellness Fair. A Touch of Love and Hope Foundation seeks to improve lives locally and internationally. Sabrina serves as its Vice-President and Governance Chair.

Over her lifetime, Sabrina has continually served the community. She is proud of collaborating with fellow citizens from all walks of life, to inspire and undertake change for the better. Notable roles have included but are not limited to: Vice-President of the Italian-Canadian Museum, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, Under Secretary-General of the United Nations Forum, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Opera York, and the Canadian Ethnocultural Council.
